- 1 medium squid, cut into rings/strips
- flour mixture: ½ cup wheat flour + ½ cup corn starch
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1 lemon cut into wedges (optional)
- Season the squid with salt and pepper. Shift the flour mixture over the squid to coat. Shake to remove any excess of flour.
- In a skillet heat the oil and deep fry the squid pieces in batches; until golden brown.
- Remove from the oil with a slotted spoon. Serve immediately.
