Grilled Shrimp with Garlic (Gambas al Ajillo)

Ingredients

  • 200 g medium shrimps, shelled and deveined
  • 3 cloves of garlic, sliced
  • 1 chili, sliced
  • ¾ cup virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a small (clay) pot. Add the garlic and cook until slightly golden brown. Stir in the chili.
  2. Add the shrimps and cook them for 3 minutes over high heat. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Serve very hot in the same pot; covered with a dish to let the ingredients to infuse together (for a few minutes).
