Tomato Toast (Pa amb tomàquet)

  • 4 slices of bread (½ -inch thick), toasted
  • 1 clove of garlic, peeled
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, halved
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Rub the top of each toast with the garlic. Rub the toast with a half of tomato (cut side down) to moisten and give a red color.
  2. Drizzle the toast with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. You can serve it with anchovies and cured meats and sausages.
